For the first time since the pre-Mack Brown days, the Longhorns are going to be watching bowl season from their living rooms.

The sky was the limit following a National Title run a year ago, and many had pegged the Horns to contend once again in the Big 12. But that was during the preseason.

A 5-7 campaign will not sit well in Austin, and the accusations of Brown losing his team and not being able to coach his talent will not help, either.

Brown may not be fired, but look for a lot of Texas fans to be calling for his future replacement, defensive coordinator Will Muschamp, to be getting a lot of attention, especially since the Mark Richt-to-Colorado rumor mills are swirling, and Muschamp played at Georgia.
