Albert Lee Griffin, Jr. – Metropolitan Funeral

On Saturday, November 26, 2022 the Lord called Albert Lee Griffin, Jr. to eternal rest. Albert Lee was born on December 26, 1944 in Norfolk County (now known as the City of Chesapeake, Virginia). He was the son of the late Albert and Viola S. Griffin. He was predeceased by two sons: Albert Levon Griffin and James Manning; one daughter, Gwendolyn Harvey; one grandson, Demarlo V. Harvey; and a brother, Frederick l. Griffin. He accepted the Lord at an early age becoming a member of New Galilee Missionary Baptist church. Albert Lee was employed with Naval Air Station Norfolk, Virginia as aircraft mechanic; he retired after 20 years of service. Albert Lee was married to his wife Margie Griffin for 50 years. He never had an enemy and would help anyone. He will talk to anybody he came in contact with. He leaves to cherish memories loving wife, Margie Griffin; four daughters: Annette (Edwin) Sloan of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Subrena Manning Royster (Michael) of Chesapeake, Virginia; Jeanne (Barry) Smith of Memphis, Tennessee, Karen (Melinda) Taylor of Greensboro, North Carolina; one son, Albert (Christel) Lawrence of Tucker, Georgia; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ronnie (Theodore) Tutwiler of Norfolk,Virginia; one aunt, Beulah (Joseph) Haskins of Chesapeake, Virginia;  three sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
