Personal Statement
I plan on majoring in astronomy, environmental science, and or planetary sciences. I have been fascinated by space and the environment all my life. I hope to be on a research team someday, and maybe even teach my findings to aspiring future science researchers.
Swimming in college is a big deal to me, and I am willing to take on the challenge. I have been swimming for eight years, and have loved every single practice. I love pushing myself to my limits. I find that if I put in the effort, my goals are achievable. Hard work creates success, both in the pool and out of it.
The thing that sets me apart from other swimmers is that I am always looking for ways to improve. Anything from when I dive into the pool until I finish the race I work on. No one is perfect, and nobody will ever be perfect. People say that they want something, but don't work for it. If you want something bad enough, you won't rest until you have it. I am someone who gives it their all during the third 50 of the 200 free.
In the end, I hope to graduate with a degree in astronomy and memories of being on a team that will last a lifetime.
