Amber Fitzgerald-Woolfe is a British actress best known for her appearance in season three of His Dark Materials. She plays the role of a character named Ama in the hit HBO series.

His Dark Materials is a fantasy drama television series based on the trilogy of novels of the same name by Philip Pullman. The show centers mostly on orphan Lyra (played by Dafne Keen) as she seeks a lost companion and unearths an abduction scheme involving an imperceptible cosmic material called Dust.

Amber Fitzgerald-Woolfe plays the role of Ama in the show. Her character is a young girl from a Himalayan village who forms a part of Mrs. Coulter and Lyra's early story in The Amber Spyglass.

Amber is a deaf actor who speaks British sign language in season three's opening episode. 

Talking more about her character in the drama series, Ama's father used to be a member of the Himalayan village near the valley of the rainbows. She was taken with her father to the cave where Marisa Coulter kept her daughter, Lyra, asleep. Marisa pretended she was a holy woman and said she could not speak with men. 

Consequently, Ama's father stood outside during her visit to bring food. He and his demon got into huge trouble as Ama disappeared further into the cave. However, he calmed down after her re-arrival.

Amber Fitzgerald-Woolfe was born to her parents Ramon Fitzgerald and Lousie Fitzgerald. She is one of four children of her parents.

It shows how Lousie, the mother of actress Amber, communicates with her toddler children using sign language.
