Personal Statement

I am a versatile left-footed player who has played the game of soccer competitively since I was 5 years old. I frequently play the positions of Left Winger, Attacking Midfielder and Forward (positions 7, 10 and 11). I am highly motivated and train on my own in order to continue to improve myself.  I am a leader and have experience being Co-Captain of my Club Team.  I play at a strong competitive level on both high school team and Club Soccer.

Academically, I am a strong student and this mental strength transfers directly to my soccer game. I exhibit a strong ability to "read the game" (i.e. Soccer IQ) and know the passes and movement that it needed in competitive play to stay engaged, ensure the team maintains possession of the ball and drives the ball forward during play.  I believe my three strongest traits are: (1) Soccer Intelligence (2) Crossing, Distributing and Passing of the ball and (3) Shooting Ability.

On February 5, 2022, during Match Play in Wisconsin for Club Team (Chicago Fire Northshore) I tore the ACL in my left knee.  Underwent ACL reconstruction using my patellar tendon on March 9, 2022.  Surgery was performed by Dr. Brian Cole out of Midwest Orthopedics at Rush Medical Hospital.  I rehabbed with over 200 physical therapy sessions throughout 2022 and 2023 at The FIT Institute.  Additionally, return to sport soccer endurance training thru Rush at the Bo Jackson Elite Sports Center in Bensenville, IL.  During this time I was a member of my club team.  Additionally, I was on the Varsity Soccer Team for Loyola Academy where I served as Team Manager and managed all the stats.  I returned to full time competitive play in February 2023 for FC Lakeshore (formally Chicago Fire Northshore). I attended several tournaments in Spring 2023, played high school summer league play with Loyola Academy and am currently a starter on Varsity at Loyola Academy.

My goal is to find the right college fit to play soccer competitively, as well as be with teammates that share the same drive and passion for the game of soccer. Additionally, I am looking for a college that is a good fit academically where I can follow my career aspirations and a coaching staff that can continue to challenge me and bring out the best in me as an athlete and person.

Through my hard work and commitment, I achieved a PR of 5:05 on the Mile (9-24-23).  I developed and maintained a network of trainers, coaches, and supporters so that I continue to be a well rounded player.  I look forward to bringing this passion to playing soccer at the college level.
