For any child growing up in Great Britain during the 1980’s, 1990’s and even the 2000’s, the Chuckle Brothers were an everyday staple of after-school life.

The brothers, Paul and Barry Elliott, epitomised slapstick humour during a 30-year period, starting in 1987 and ending in 2009.

Their BBC TV series, Chucklevision, is the second longest running kids’ show, with only Blue Peter boasting more episodes.

Sadly, Barry recently passed away due to a heart condition, something that he had kept secret from fans to ensure he could continue performing on live tours and at festivals over the past few years.

Here’s a tribute to Barry Chuckle, featuring some of the Chuckle Brothers most iconic moments – both on and off screen!

Barry Chuckle (right) has died aged 73. The veteran entertainer, whose real name was Barry Elliot, starred in ChuckleVision with his brother Paul on the BBC between 1987 and 2009. Our thoughts go to Paul in this sad time. 🙏 So for one last time, To you, Barry. 🍻#ChuckleBrothers

1. The Chuckle Brothers Bike

Just Google ‘Chuckle Brothers bike’ and the first thing that comes up is “where to buy one?”.

Why Baz and Paul pick this as their favoured mode of transport in Chucklevision, who knows, but just like Mr Bean’s yellow mini, the Chuckle Brothers bike is an iconic staple in U.K comedy.

Here’s to the Chuck mobile!

2. Flirting With Caroline Flack

For those who haven’t followed Barry and Paul Chuckle on Twitter, Instagram and even Snapchat over the past few years, you’ve really been missing out.

The comedy duo are always up to no good, exemplified here as Paul flirted with Love Island presenter Caroline Flack after she uploaded a raunchy topless photo.

Flack-star even reciprocated!

Planned on it but work got in the way ☹️

3. To Me, To You (Ft Tinchy Stryder)

The most iconic of all Chucklevision quotes is of course “to me, to you.”

Typically used when the bros were attempting to move furniture – which happened a lot – Paul and Barry were always getting themselves in a right ol’ pickle.

You can take Ross’s “PIVOT” from Friends and stick it up your ar*se… the U.K has The Chuckle Brothers and Tinchy Stryder!

4. Barry Chuckle and Jay Z

There was a hilarious picture doing the rounds during the Heavyweight World Title fight between Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko.

Of course, the photo was photoshopped, but that didn’t stop us from absolutely loving the idea that Barry Chuckle hangs out with Mr Z.

Jay would be lucky…

5. Oh Dear – Oh Dear, Oh Dear

Alongside “to me, to you”, this was another iconic quote from the calamitous brothers.

Used to some up a situation that has gone epically wrong, life is all about little “oh dear” moments.

6. Barry Chuckle – England Captain

The England football team may have captured the imagination of the nation during an unexpected World Cup 2018 run, but what you didn’t know was that there was a secret mastermind behind the success.

One Instagram user commented: The hero we need, but not the hero we deserve.”

7. Barry – Barry Bond

Despite bowing out at 73-years-old, Barry was always in touch with the modern world and, simply put, loved a good meme.
