On March 15, 2023, a tweet was posted on Bobby Caldwell’s official Twitter account announcing that he had passed away at his home.

According to his wife, Mary, Bobby was a talented singer-songwriter who was known for his versatility across multiple music genres. He passed away at the age of 71.

Mary revealed that Bobby’s death was caused by fluoroquinolone poisoning, which he had developed after taking antibiotics in 2017.

This had caused significant damage to his body, although the exact cause of death had not been disclosed publicly.

In her statement, Mary expressed her frustration over the situation and said that the antibiotic had been prescribed to treat a runny nose and cough.

She believed that the tragedy could have been prevented if the prescription had not been given in the first place.
