NBA player Bryn Forbes was reportedly arrested on a family violence charge for the second different time in a one-year period.

Mariah Medina of News 4 San Antonio reported a warrant for his arrest was issued Monday based on a third-degree felony charge of assault strangulation/choking of a family member.

His bond was set at $7,500.

Medina noted he was also arrested on Feb. 15, 2023, on a family violence charge that has since been dismissed following the completion of a pretrial diversion program.

As for the latest arrest, court documents said "Forbes struck the mother of his two children before choking her" and also "allegedly told her 'if you can speak then you are not being choked' when she told him she couldn't breathe," per Medina.

Forbes played collegiately at Michigan State and started his NBA career in 2016-17 for the San Antonio Spurs. He has played for the Spurs, Milwaukee Bucks, Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves throughout his career.

He has not played an NBA game during the 2023-24 campaign but appeared in 25 games for Minnesota last season.
