Chance the Rapper Plays Clueless Hockey Reporter in 'Saturday Night Live' Skit | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors

NHL coverage tends to lag behind America's other major team sports. As a result, not all fans and professionals possess a high level of hockey knowledge.

Perhaps some journalists would experience the same struggles as Lazlo Holmes if forced to enter the ice. While hosting Saturday Night Live, Chance the Rapper played a New York Knicks reporter pressed to cover the New York Rangers.

The only problem? He knew absolutely nothing about hockey.  

Instead, he bickered about the cold and the players' hard-to-pronounce names. When interviewing defenseman Brady Skjei, played by Alex Moffat, Chance decided "that's a nope" rather than attempting to say the last name.  

Per the New York Post's Brett Cyrgalis, the real Skjei (pronounced "Shay") enjoyed the sketch.
