Charneal (Char, Nique-Nique) Cunningham was a sweet, caring and loving soul. She was the daughter of Charlie Neal and Jacqueline Eunice Caldwell-Cunningham. Charneal was born at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, VA on February 21, 1995 she departed this life on Sunday May 14, 2023. Charneal was diagnosed with Epilepsy Seizure the day before her 21st birthday. Though the seizures limited her independence, she refused to allow it to control her life. Charneal enjoyed traveling and having a good time no matter where she was. In addition to her parents, Charneal leaves behind to cherish her memory: two brothers: Thomas Caldwell (Melissa) and David Cunningham (Jasmine) both of Norfolk, VA; four uncles: Ricky Caldwell, Thomas Caldwell, Jr. (Gloria), and Jimmy Caldwell (Angela) all of Memphis, TN, and Micheal Cunningham (Rita) of Woodbridge, VA; four aunts: Freddie Davis, Veronica Caldwell and Letha Hughes (Micheal) all of Memphis, TN, Betty Smith (James) of Tallassee, AL; and grandfather, Thomas Caldwell, Sr. of Memphis, TN. Charneal, graduated from Old Dominion university in 2018 where she pledge ZETA PHI BETA Sorority. She loved all her ZETA SISTERS and the time they spent together. She leaves a host of cousins in both Memphis and Alabama that she shared a special bond with. She had a very special GOD MOTHER whom she called crying quite often. She would always start off with, “see see, Ms. Belinda. It was usually her saying mom did something. Jazz, Kia, Chucky yelp she’s gone, that day we always knew might one day happen. It’s here now. Let’s be strong and know we’re not alone. GOD got us. Alan you can rest now, your best friend is in GOD’S HANDS, You stand relieved.
