ATLANTA — Atlanta-area Chick-fil-A stores will be saluting service members on Veterans Day with free food.

The Atlanta-based chain says it will be offering free meals on Monday from 5-8 p.m. to any active military personnel, veterans with valid military identification and their immediate families.

According to Chick-fil-A, the offer covers a number of menu options:

"We invite all veterans and active military personnel to enjoy a complimentary meal with their family on us as a token of our appreciation for their service," Colby Cameron, who operates a Chick-fil-A franchise on Windward Parkway in Atlanta, said in a release.

Chick-fil-A has made similar offers on Veterans Day in the past, and highlights supporting troops in the company's "Giving Philosophy" section of its website.
