With Super Bowl LVIII right around the corner, EA Sports dropped its latest Madden 24 player ratings on Wednesday, and the update is highlighted by Christian McCaffrey and L'Jarius Sneed.

McCaffrey, the star San Francisco 49ers running back, was bumped from a 98 overall in the NFC Divisional round to a 99 overall following the team's win over the Detroit Lions in the conference championship game.

His boost to a 99 was way overdue, but he now joins Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Justin Jefferson and Aaron Donald in the Madden 99 Club this year.

McCaffrey has been the best running back in the NFL all season, but his performance in the NFC Championship game helped the 49ers punch their ticket back to the Super Bowl for the first time since the 2019 season.

The 27-year-old rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries and also caught four passes for 42 yards on five targets.

McCaffrey finished the regular season having rushed for 1,459 yards and 14 touchdowns in 16 games, in addition to catching 67 passes for 564 yards and seven scores.

Through two playoff games, he has rushed for 188 yards and four touchdowns on 37 carries, in addition to catching 11 passes for 72 yards.

Sneed, the Kansas City Chiefs cornerback, was bumped from an 88 overall in the AFC Divisional round to a 90 overall following the team's win over the Baltimore Ravens in the conference championship game.

Much like McCaffrey, Sneed played a critical role in his team's conference-clinching victory.

After being taunted by Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers late in the third quarter of the AFCCG, Sneed punched the football out of Flowers' hands as he attempted to stretch across the goal line for a touchdown early in the fourth quarter.

The Chiefs recovered the ball and the result of the play was a fumble.

Sneed finished the game with five tackles and one forced fumble. He played 100 percent of Kansas City's defensive snaps.

The 27-year-old had a solid regular season for the Chiefs, posting two interceptions, 14 passes defended, one fumble recovery and 78 tackles in 16 games. Through three playoff games, he has recorded two passes defended, one forced fumble and 14 tackles.

Super Bowl LVIII will be a rematch of the 2019 championship game between the Chiefs and 49ers. Kansas City won that matchup 31-20.
