Personal Statement
I continue to work hard in baseball, as my goal is to play college ball. I continue with my weight training, as well as seeking additional instruction at various coaching facilities.
While in 8th grade as a pitcher, I was recruited to an "All Stars" team, and we made our way in Pony League up to Bay City Michigan for the Pony League finals. It was a wonderful experience, something I will never forget.
I started my freshman year as a varsity player, starting pitcher. I have won numerous medals, all conference, honorable mention, all county, etc. I continue to help my highschool baseball coach, Mr. Greg Dewerff of Lakeland College, with his summer baseball camps. I also pitch in to help him with the building of a new basball mound for our school and will probably help with leveling of the field this fall as he continues to bring great improvements to the baseball department of Milford Highschool. Mr. Dewerff has been both a mentor and a role model for me, always pushing me to do my best, and taking away something new I learned every time I step on the ball field.
I realize my grades and GPA have been a stumbling block for me. Although diagnosed as dyslexic in the fifth grade,I was hauled all over the state of Illinois for any help that was available for me. It was at this time I was transferred me to Milford Public school as well, as the public school was more prepared to help a dyslexic child than private school was. I feel I have made great progress while there. I read very fluently and my comprehension is good especially if its of interest to me. However, I have always been a more "hands on" person and can grasp just about anything if taught in that method. Realistically, I know that many majors would be out of my reach, but I am just as confident that something more in the lines of a "trade", is something I will excel at.
I want to continue my baseball into college. I always give 100% , I know what it is to sacrafice "self" for the greater of "team". I want to play baseball as long as it is possible for me to do so.

Unfortunately the coach did not enter any pitching stats for my 2013 season, although I did pitch for the EI Rockets in 2013.
