(CNN) -- The U.S. military on Saturday released the names of the 16 service members killed in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan earlier this week. Eight were Special Operations soldiers and eight were Navy SEALs.
Eight soldiers assigned to the Army's 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne), Hunter Army Air Field, Georgia:
8 Navy SEALs:
Healy, Patton and Suh were assigned to SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team One, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Fontan, Kristensen, Lucas, McGreevy and Taylor were assigned to SEAL Team Ten, Virginia Beach, Virginia.
