Personal Statement

My name is Daniel Peter Caraballo and I am 18 yrs old and currently a going to Montclair State University in NJ. My main passion is Baseball but I have been a multi-sport player since the age of 8 and I am currently a HS Soccer, Basketball, Baseball player.  My two goals are: 1) improve my game every season and off season, 2) get into a great college where I continue playing baseball. My overall goal is to become a stronger five (5) tool player: hitting for average, hitting for power, base-running skills and speed, throwing ability, and fielding abilities. I feel that if I can improve every year, it will provide me a better chance to play college baseball. 

I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program. As a three-sport athlete and I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on and off the field. I am looking for a strong Sports Administration program (BA) where I can also take a minor in Business or Marketing plus solid internship program.

I want to make my parents proud after what they have given up for me since I started playing baseball at the age of 8 to the present.  All of the traveling, hotels, tournaments, uniform cost, training, High School games, etc, I want to be able to turn to them and say Thank You. By me making it into a great school where I can be successful as both a player and student means so much to me.
