Hello Coaches,

Below is a reference my club coach Ken wrote for me for a college application, I believe it says everything about me and how I play the game, I am a goal scorer but i am a team player and always show respect to where the ball comes from and play a team game.

"I have been asked to write a letter of reference with respect to Declan Simard. I have had the pleasure of coaching Declan for last couple of years and he has played a major part of the success of our Gold level soccer team. Declan is a team player despite the fact we rely on him, as our leading scorer, to put the ball in the net. He is, by his character, a significant contributor to the positive culture of our team. I have always observed him interacting with others with a respectful attitude, whether on the field or off. I know him to be involved in a range of sport and academic pursuits. The particular gift that Declan possesses is poise; the ability to maintain calm, control, and patience when others tend to the opposite, particularly around the net.Consequently I highly recommend Declan and believe his character and capacity will serve him well in his future endeavours.
