Donna Brazile is an American author, academic, and political analyst with a net worth of $3 million. Brazile graduated from Louisiana State University and worked on the campaign to make Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday a federal holiday. She also volunteered for the Jimmy Carter-Walter Mondale presidential campaigns and was a member of the board of directors of the Louisiana Recovery Authority.
Brazile made history as the first African American to direct a major presidential campaign when she managed Al Gore’s campaign in 2000. She is currently the Vice Chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee and served as interim Chairwoman for a month in 2011. Brazile contributes to CNN’s The Situation Room and American Morning and is a contributing writer for Ms. Magazine.
In addition to her political career, Brazile is also an author, with her memoir Cooking With Grease published in 2004. She has also made appearances on television, guest starring in episodes of The Good Wife and appearing in an episode of House of Cards.
