Dorothy Jean Slade – Metropolitan Funeral

Dorothy Slade went to be with the Lord on September 28th 2021 at her home. Dorothy Slade was born on July 11th 1945 in Martin County to the late Marjorie Slade. She was an Techstyle worker and retired from Durex Inc. in Union NJ. Her hobbies was knitting and working on puzzles books.

Dorothy Slade was a faithful member of New Point Baptist Church where she served as a secretary for the usher board.

Dorothy was known for her sweet uplifting spirit and everyone loved to be in her presence. Dorothy were preceded in death by 3 sisters, Marie Black, Janice McLean and Kathryn Mills, 2 nieces, Dorothy McLean and Antonette Rodger.

Dorothy leave to cherish her memories, one son, Reginald Slade of Pensacola Fl.; one granddaughter, of Pensacola,  Fl; two sisters, Sarah Harvey (Wayne) of the home and Gloria Highsmith Evans (Casper) of Greenville NC;  4 brothers, Samuel Norfleet of Orlando Florida,  Clarence Highsmith Jr. (Brenda) of Oak City NC,  Ernest Highsmith of Midfield Al. and Elbert Highsmith (Daylene) of Williamston NC; four nieces and five nephews,  seven great nieces and five great nephews two  special friends, Beatrice Carolina of Darlington  SC and Alfreda Parsons of Norfolk VA;  a special cousin,  Bobbie Watson of Williamston  NC and a host of other relatives and friends.
