Dr Pimple Popper has performed an endless amount of surgeries on cysts and lipomas, but she’s still in for a huge shock when she’s squirted with the contents of Eric’s head cyst. The patient’s lump appeared after a nasty accident at work, and because it’s been there for so many years, his daughter has never seen her dad without it.

The TLC show is a dream for popaholics, and Eric’s episode was one of the best yet for those who love to see the gruesome contents that come out of all the bumps and lumps when Dr Pimple Popper works her magic. As we wait for a new series announcement in 2024, let’s take a look back at the time the doctor removed Eric’s ‘golf ball’ head cyst.

34-year-old Eric has a big cyst on his head, which he calls half a golf ball stuck inside his head. The bump was formed after an accident at work.

The construction worker was hit on the head with the bucket of an excavator, and woke up after being unconscious with a “big goose egg on his head.” It never went away and carried on getting bigger and bigger.

It’s still causing him pain, and his been there for the entirety of his daughter’s life. Although it’s hurting the patient, he gets joy with his daughter as they pretend it’s like an “on-off switch”. Whenever she presses it, the father pretends to ‘shut down,’ leaving his daughter in tears of laughter.

However, it stops him from spending quality time with his daughter, as he doesn’t want to engage in activities that may damage it even more, like ice skating.

He’s worried it may be more serious, so is taking a visit to Dr Pimple Popper’s office to check it out.

Dr Sandra Lee takes a look

After hearing the story of Eric getting ‘knocked out’ after being hit on the head, upon further inspection, Dr Sandra Lee concludes that it’s a pilar cyst.

These are benign growths that often appear on the scalp. A lot of the time, people will have multiple ones, however, Eric just has one.

Before going ahead with the removal, Dr Lee couldn’t help but play the “on-off game” with the pilar cyst, as the patient said getting rid of it is bittersweet.

Eric is taken to the surgery table and is instantly given numbing cream so he doesn’t feel any pain whilst going through the removal.

Like the pro she is, Dr Pimple Popper gets straight to work, and soon after is surprised by the yellow substance that flies out of Eric’s cyst, all over her arm. The doctor screamed in surprise as she had to pause surgery for a moment to remove the “acid” from her arm.

But it didn’t stop there. The substance kept on pouring out. “Sometimes I get a little too aggressive, and squeeze it too hard, and then it pops,” the doctor joked.

The substance managed to travel far, as it squirted almost two feet!

Dr Lee then removes the whole sac wall and stitches Eric back up, so the cyst is gone for good. Of course, it wouldn’t be an ending without the doctor proudly showing the patient the contents of their cyst.

Eric is overwhelmed with his results, and is honoured Dr Lee could perform the surgery on him.
