Personal Statement
As a student-athlete, I have set my goals and aspirations higher than the average student. I have a 4.42 GPA in my junior year of high school and I am still working hard to improve it. In college, I wish to continue to expand my knowledge in the classroom and receive a higher education. My parents and coaches have always taught and influenced me throughout my life. They are the reason I am the man that I am today; well-mannered, intellectual, and diligent. My high school, Delaware Valley, has a three word motto that I keep in my mind every time I do something - pride, persistent, and perseverance. I strive to be the best I can possibly be at all times, whether it be in the classroom or on the field. Being average is something I cannot stand for, I always crave improvement. Football has always been my favorite sport ever since I was a little kid watching the New York Jets play on television. Having the ability to play football throughout my life has provided me with tremendous improvements in my character and leadership abilities. I have learned that I have the ability and motivation to push myself through every situation no matter how tough it gets. I possess the skills and mindset needed to always perform well on the field or in the classroom, such as being a highly motivated, determined, and intelligent leader. These skills have been achieved from the help of my coaches and teammates by working as a team, as a unit, as one. The most important thing my parents have taught me throughout my career as a student-athlete is no matter the circumstances, always stay humble in everything you do. To play college football has always been a dream of mine and I will stop at nothing to fulfill my dream.
