Elizabeth Russo's Softball Recruiting Profile

Personal Statement

Hello Coaches,

My name is Elizabeth Russo, what makes me a good candidate for your team is both on and off the field I try to be the best I can. I worked hard to get a scholarship to my High School to defray the cost on my parents. Also, for many years I played on a lower level travel team. Freshman year, I realized that in order to get to the next level I had to change teams. So I tried out for my current travel team, Storm Academy. When I went they said that they saw a "high ceiling" for me but mechanically I needed a lot of work. When they offered me a spot I then attended every possible training that the organization offered to get me to the point that I am at today, and I still do attend as many practices as possible.  Lastly, aside from academics and softball I am active in my church, in their youth program and I am a lay assisting minister, as well as  volunteering for local events such as the CEC 24 Health fair.  Also around the holidays I help organize donations for toiletries to give to the homeless.  My whole family plays baseball/softball and it's what I love to do.
