ESPN issued a statement Saturday denying that Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley has been banned from appearing on any of its platforms.
Addressing what it called "an erroneous report," the company said Beverley "isn't banned and never was."
This comes after the 35-year-old received criticism for saying ESPN producer Malinda Adams couldn't interview him after Milwaukee's Game 6 loss to the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the 2024 NBA playoffs.

Adams followed up to say Beverley had apologized to her personally:
Malinda Adams @MalindaAdamsI want to thank everyone for their kind words and support. I am humbled. Patrick Beverley just called me and apologized. I appreciate it and accept it. The Bucks also reached out to apologize. I've been in news for over 40 years and kindness and grace always win.
Front Office Sports' Michael McCarthy initially reported the veteran playmaker "is now persona non grata" at ESPN and prohibited from appearing on studio shows.
While he hasn't been a mainstay on ESPN programming, Beverley famously made the rounds in May 2022 and leaned into his long-simmering feud with 12-time All-Star Chris Paul.

Even though he's welcome to return at some point, it could be a while because he didn't exactly endear himself to Adams' colleagues.
Beverley is all but certain to face repercussions from the NBA as well due to his behavior this past Thursday. He twice threw a basketball into the stands behind the Bucks bench in the fourth quarter with Milwaukee trailing big.
A fine and perhaps even a suspension is due to come Beverley's way. The Athletic reported the situation is being examined by officials from the league office.
