Nick Charles was a taxi driver before he started his career, and later, he was considered the first sports anchor at CNN, but unfortunately, he died of lung cancer at the age of 64 in 2009.

Freud Hickman opened his eyes on October 17, 1956, and spent his childhood in Springfield, Illinois. He graduated from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in 1978.
After his graduation, he co-hosted the CNN program Sports Tonight which goes through his struggling period. In 1989 and 1993, he earned “CableACE awards.”
In 2004, he received another award, the “New York Sports Emmy,” and the same year, he was employed by the ESPN on Sports center as a sports anchor.
