Eric Comrie is the son of Bill Comrie and his wife Roxanne Huisman. 

Along with the Edmonton Oil Kings, his father played junior Hockey with the Moose Jaw Canucks, a Chicago Blackhawks farm team. After the passing of his father, Herb, his father retired from Hockey in 1968 and started working in the family furniture business.

He is eventually turning down an invitation to a Blackhawks training camp. Eric Comires comes from a family with a good history in the business. His father, Canadian industrialist William H. Comrie, better known as Bill Coming, founder of The Brick.

The Brick, The Brick Ltd., is a Canadian furniture retailer, mattresses, appliances, and home electronics retailer. 

The company was founded as The Brick Warehouse LP by brothers John, Fred, and Bill Comrie. The first warehouse opened in Edmonton, Alberta, on September 1, 1971. In the 1970s, it made its initial foray into Fort McMurray, Alberta, and eventually purchased a rival business in Calgary.

He belongs to a wealthy family; during his childhood, he did not face any financial problems, and all of the expenses of the athlete were looked after by his father. Eric and Bill have a good relationship; his father always supports him despite his decision to discontinue the family business.

The player's father always encourages him to do whatever he wants in his life and motivates him to start a career in ice hockey. Despite their busy schedule, athletes occasionally meet with family members and have dinner together. 

The athlete's mother, Roxanne Huisman, is a housewife who looks after his family. Before exchanging vows with his mother, athlete father married his gorgeous wife Theresa Comrie in 1971 and has two children Paul and mike, come. Both of Eric's paternal half-brothers are former NHL players. 

His brother Mike is the source of inspiration for him to play Hockey. When he was a child, the athlete watched his brother Mike become a hometown favorite for the Oilers. The Player spent the first nine years of his life in Edmonton. 

Comrie still views Edmonton as his home in some ways, even though his family relocated there before he was ten. In 2013–14 and again in 2014–15, he played for the 2yeras alongside his younger brother Paul.

Comrie and his younger brother Ty are teammates on the Tri-City Americans central junior hockey team. The team's players were outstanding while they were on the ice for the Tri-City Americans.
