William Mike and Daughter Carlota

William Mike also known as "Old Mike," was the father of Carlota. He was a shaman of the tribe and a strong-built man with spiritual power. Mike forbade his daughter from getting married to any relative as such a union was prohibited by tribal customs.

The marriage with relatives would bring shame and dishonor to their families and Mike simply disliked Willie Boy. Carlota fled with Willie Boy over her father's restrictions. The two spent the night together before being picked up by family.
