What is Ivan Wilzig’s net worth?

Ivan Wilzig is a singer-songwriter and philanthropist with a net worth of $100 million. He is also known as “Sir Ivan the Peaceman” and has appeared on several US reality shows.

Wilzig was born on January 6, 1956, in Newark, New Jersey. His father, Siegbert “Siggi” Wilzig, survived the Holocaust and immigrated to America penniless in 1947. Siggi became Chairman, President, and CEO of The Wilshire Oil Company of Texas and The Trust Company of New Jersey, growing the latter’s assets from $200 million to over $4 billion with contributions from his sons Ivan and Alan. The bank was acquired by North Fork Bank for $726 million in 2003 and is now part of Capital One.

Ivan Wilzig’s Career and Philanthropy

Ivan Wilzig, originally from Clifton, NJ, began singing lessons in elementary school and performed in various music groups and musicals. However, his parents discouraged his musical aspirations. He went on to earn degrees in European Intellectual History and law, and worked for his father at The Trust Company of New Jersey for 20 years in PR and marketing.

In 2001, Wilzig recorded a club track version of John Lennon’s “Imagine” that sold over 100,000 copies. He followed it up with a single titled “San Francisco,” which hit #7 on the Billboard Singles Chart. He has since released multiple Top 10 Dance hits and albums.

Wilzig is also the founder and director of The Peaceman Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people combat hatred, violence, and PTSD.

The Castle: Ivan Wilzig’s Hamptons Mansion

In 1995, Ivan Wilzig purchased a 5-acre lot in Water Mill, NY for $550,000. In the late 1990s, he built a 15,000 square-foot mansion on the property, which he calls “The Castle” due to its medieval style.

The opulent home boasts features such as 24-Karat gold paint on the tennis court, seven waterfalls, an eight-car garage, two spas, a fully equipped gym, a nightclub, and even a drawbridge. Each room is themed differently, with styles ranging from Asian to Roman to Bali.
