The waterfront terrace deck is an idyllic spot to unwind as you sip a pink-hued Sunset Martini (made with fresh watermelon, basil leaves, jasmine syrup and vodka) or a signature JK Spritz accompanied by a smattering of chef-curated munchies.

The hotel's only eatery, JKitchen, has become one of Capri's most lauded restaurants and certainly worth splashing out for. Executive Chef Eduardo Estatico makes no secret of the fact that his creations – an unexpected meld of haute cuisine and strictly seasonal recipes of the territory – are Neapolitan grandmother inspired.

Most delicious is the starter of Agerolese beef croquettes with Alife onions, Provolone del Monaco, bay leaf and a hint of cinnamon, followed by a mix of Pastificio dei Campi pasta, peas, culatello di Zibello (a cured meat aged 24months), pecorino cheese, and pink grapefruit for a slightly sweet finish.

Breakfast is more of a banquet than a buffet, laid out on a big dining table where you can help yourself or ask staff to prepare a platter and bring it to you on the sunny patio. Hot items are made to order.
