Personal Statement

Taking my high school team to the CIF Finals my sophomore year by saving pks was the highlight of my high school soccer. However, I feel I grew the most as a student-athlete my senior year when I led my lower classmen team to a league championship when nobody believed in us. That experience as a captain helped me grow as a person and led me to re-focus on my own efforts and my team.

I was fortunate enough to be a part of an outstanding program, 3 Freeway League Titles, CIF Finalist, CIF Quarterfinalist, and finally First Team All Freeway League. I learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and earning your spot. I’m looking for a program that will push me to become a better player as well as a better student. I want to be in a program where I could make a difference. I believe I not only have the talent and athleticism to compete in a college team, but my character, drive, and leadership skills to make an impact on your program. As a leader on and off the field, I know that I have what It takes to be a leader on your team.
