Personal Statement

What makes me different from all the other student athletes is how I try to stand out and lead by example, my heart to make my team better and win basketball games, my commitment, responsibility, and how hard I work and care for basketball and my school grades.  I always keep in contact with my previous or recent coaches, to try to find what areas of my arsenal, where they see I need to improve on or to become a better basketball player. Over my career of playing basketball, I've tried to play with different coaches and not just one so I can learn how they teach the game of basketball so that I know how to adjust to different coaching styles.

For me personally, I am not worried about scoring the most points in a game or being the star of the team. I'm more worried about making my teammates better as well as, me in the same process.  Gelling together with my team and making my team trust there floor general is what is most important to me. I have been told I could not play in D1 or D2 competition due to my size, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to prove myself. My goal is to play college basketball at the highest level competition possible and make a statement. I am looking for a college that has my major and has the basketball competition that I want as well, so if anything happens with basketball I have my major to fall back on.
