Personal Statement

When I was 7 years old I stepped out onto the court for the first time, for my fist basketball game.  I was considerably younger than the rest of my teammates.  I was the point guard then, as I am now.  My heart pounding and adrenaline racing through my little body.  I knew this was where I belonged!

Since then, and even now, I dribble non-stop, working on my ball handling skills, even though I drive my parents crazy with the constant sound of a basketball in our basement.  I bring my basketball to school, to each class just waiting for that gym to open.

For me, basketball is much more than a sport.  It's a way of life.  The hard work and dedication of this sport is a great example of how to live your life everyday.  If you work hard enough, anything is possible.  

My dream is to live that dream.  The dream of playing college basketball, and taking that to the next level.  To prove that hard work, dedication and the right attitude can take you anywhere.
