What does this mean for Arkansas?
Stewart committed during a visit to Michigan State but flipped to Arkansas on Wednesday following a visit to Fayetteville. He is the fifth defensive backfield transfer addition, along with Al Walcott and Lorando Johnson from Baylor, Arthur Brathwaite from Western Kentucky and Jaheim Singletary from Georgia. Arkansas needed a lot of help in the secondary after finishing 124th nationally in yards per attempt allowed. — Vannini

What does this mean for Michigan State?
It’s a notable loss for MSU, which is inexperienced in a defensive backfield that has struggled in recent years. The Spartans added Wisconsin cornerback Semar Melvin in December and Cincinnati transfer safety Armorion Smith in April, and cornerback Charles Brantley withdrew from the portal to remain with the Spartans. MSU finished No. 106 in yards per pass allowed last year.
