MRI Confirms Olynyk Has Sprained Ankle

Boston Celtics @celticsBrad Stevens says that an MRI confirmed that Kelly Olynyk sprained his right ankle. "He's out a couple of weeks, at least," Stevens says.

Entering Thursday, Olynyk was averaging 11.3 points and 5.5 rebounds a game, both of which are improvements from 2013-14 and in large part down to his playing almost five more minutes a night than he did last year. Although not a regular starter for the Celtics, the 23-year-old has established himself as a regular part of the team's rotation.
