About Leah Jantzen

I am not your average life coach.  I am a mother of 4 – and passionate about my sports. My husband is, too, making ours a happy union. But all too often my friends and clients complain about how their guy is always parked in front of the TV, watching yet another football, basketball, or baseball game.

And then I realized: Connecting with your man through sports is  a great way to build a solid romance, but most women don’t know how to begin. So I just launched my business where I counsel women — and men — in the fine art of watching sports, together.

First, pick a sport. You don’t have to follow all of them, please, that would be a daunting task. If your husband prefers football, then get ready to learn some serious grid iron action. If he likes all televised sports, pick the one you’re most interested in. Next, ask for help. Plan to watch a game together where he can explain the rules and what to watch for. Now, make it fun — for you. Instead of snugging down in a dirty sweatshirt and munching Doritos, see if he’s willing to nosh on cheese and crackers, wine instead of beer.  Make game night a date night, and you’ll be on your way to building a bond, not a wall, between you and your guy.

I received my professional training through Coach University, a worldwide leader in coach training.  I am also an active member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF).  In addition to my credentials as a coach, I also hold a  Masters Degree in Counseling and a graduate certificate in Educational Leadership and Supervision from Long Island University at C.W. Post College.  I workerd as a guidance counselor for the last 13 years in my hometown on the North Shore of Long Island before pursuing my passion to have my own coaching business and spend more time with my young children.

I spend my free time chasing my two school age sons, keeping up with my precocious ten year old daughter and batrling my fierce witted toddler girl. I am an avid tennis player, runner and now Crossfitter--a perfect outlet for my competitive spirit! I live in my hometown of Setauket, New York, on the north shore of Long Island, and especially enjoy the beautiful summer months on the beach.
