Leeds United have confirmed the signing of Spanish goalkeeper Joel Robles on a one-year deal.
The 32-year-old has joined the Yorkshire side on a free transfer after his contract expired earlier this summer with Spanish side Real Betis.
Having risen through the ranks at Atletico Madrid, Robles went on to make seven appearances for the club before joining Rayo Vallecano on loan.
Robles also has experience of playing Premier League football, having had a temporary spell at Wigan Athletic in 2013 and Everton.
During his time on Merseyside, Robles made 65 appearances in all competitions before moving to Betis in 2018.
At Betis, Robles played a total of 78 matches and returns to England for his third spell in the Premier League.

Robles will arrive at Elland Road to provide back-up to Leeds’ first-choice keeper, Illan Meslier.
He becomes Leeds’ eighth signing of the summer in what has been a busy transfer window for Jesse Marsch’s side.
