Personal Statement

Hello, my name is McKenna Frison and I am a senior at Crater High School. I've been apart of many sports throughout my high school career such as soccer, basketball, swimming, and track. However,  soccer was the sport I fell in love with. I play the left back on defense and I absolutely love it.  Playing defense has always been my strength, due to my mental and physical toughness. This past 2016 season, I was the only senior on the varsity team. My coach Rianna Lee, a former University of Oregon soccer star, firmly believes that if I had the opportunity to play with more advanced and older players my defensive skills would improve immensely. I've also been known as an acceptionally hard working player on and off the field.  I'm constantly looking for ways to improve my game, such as watching film, ball handling, or increasing my fitness. My academics and my enrollment in AP classes also shows my commitment to hard work. My GPA is a 3.62 at the moment, but it will be advancing rapidly throughout my senior year. I think I stand out from most players because i'm constantly looking for ways to go above and beyond on and off the field. I think I would be a great candidate for playing soccer at the next level because I am consistent with my hard work, I have an insane love for the game, and I would strive to improve my defensive skills even more.
