Personal Statement

My name is Megan Lewis. I am getting ready for my senior year at Santa Fe Preparatory School.

I am 5'-11" and volleyball is my favorite sport. I am also a lacrosse player and have been a competitive skier on the Taos Freeride Team since junior high school.

One of my greatest strengths is my willingness to work extremely hard to improve my skills.  I am always eager to learn.  I always have a positive attitude and, love my team. I have played on a local Santa Fe NM club team through the spring of 2020, and participated with the Albuquerque 505 team all summer playing sand volleyball. I am currently trying out for the Albuquerque 505 club team in hopes of participating in club as well as high school volleyball during my senior year.

I was a little late to the game of volleyball, trying out for the team in 9th grade having never ever played before. By the following year, I was playing with the varsity team at Santa Fe Prep as a middle, and quickly moved to playing middle and right side hitter for the local club teams. I play volleyball in all of my spare time, and sincerely hope to play in College as well. I feel to lucky to have found something I love so much, and have such a great passion for.
