Michael Chiarello, a celebrity chef, died from a fatal allergic reaction, according to the coroner’s office. 

The allergic reaction led to anaphylactic shock and ultimately a heart attack. 

Additionally, the coroner noted recent cocaine use as a “significant condition” in Chiarello’s death, although it was not the cause of his passing. 

He was admitted to Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa due to an allergic reaction.

However, he later succumbed to hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, a brain dysfunction caused by a lack of oxygen and blood flow.
