Midori Francis father Ken Iwama became the seventh Chancellor of Indiana University Northwest in August 2020.
Before he began his service as the seventh Chancellor he worked at the College of Staten Island of the University of New York as the founding vice president for the division of economic development, continuing studies, and government relations.
During his tenure as the vice president, he led the university's Tech Incubator expansion and created the first innovation center in the borough. Before serving in the aforementioned designation Ken worked for two presidents of the college as chief of staff and deputy.
Prior to beginning his career at the university, he served as the general counsel for the State Operated School District of Jersey City. Ken is known to be the executive committee member of the Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities.
Ken completed his bachelor of arts degree in English from the University of New Hampshire and received his master's degree in labor and employment relations from Rutgers University School.
Iwama received his Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall Law School.
Ken is 56 years old and his birth anniversary falls on April 21.
