More than 850 homes without power in Mableton area

A falling tree knocked out power for more than 850 homes in the Fontaine Road/Nickajack Road area Monday morning.
MABLETON, Ga. -- Greystone Power is reporting that 859 homes were without power in Mableton late Monday morning.
The outage covered an area between the Floyd Road-Veterans Memorial Highway intersection and running northeastward along Fontaine Road to East-West Connector. The outage area includes the Nickajack Road corridor and part of the Vinings Estates area.
Cobb Police said a tree fell in the area, causing the power outage.
Greystone Power says power was restored to the area before 1 p.m.
