Using your Witcher Senses, investigate the campsite
Use your witcher senses to examine the scene. Talk to Borhis, who will refuse to tell you where to find the beast. Use your senses again to start looking for the basilisk. You’ll end up meeting a group of Reavers, trying to hunt down the beast. This is where the quest diverges.
Go to the camp and examine the bloody mess.

Choice 1
Beast needs to die. Let’s do it.
If you choose this, you’ll get to kill the basilisk with the Reavers’ help. You’ll get to tell them whether to just shoot it from afar or to join you in close quarter combat.Keep in mind that Iocaste has a weakness to fire – use Igni as much as you can. Try your best to dodge, too, since the beast can poison you.
Once it’s dead, you’ll get the 400 crowns from the Reavers’, plus whatever you find on the monster (a trophy, some rare alchemy ingredients and a steel sword).
Choice 2
Basilisk’s not to be killed.
If you choose to spare the beast, Borhis will pay both you and the Reavers. You’ll get 350 crowns for your effort.
