According to authorities, Weird Al Yankovic’s parents were discovered dead in their house, apparently from carbon monoxide poisoning.
According to the Los Angeles Times, their fireplace accidentally poisoned them with carbon monoxide.
Family members found the remains of Nick Yankovic, aged 86, and Mary Yankovic, aged 81, around 1 p.m. on Friday, according to Sheriff’s Sgt. Conrad Grayson, a fire investigator.
Nick Yankovic was discovered by paramedics in a chair in the living room up front, while his wife was found dead on the bathroom floor.
Because they hadn’t seen the couple in a while and were worried, the relatives went to the residence to check up on them.
