Anh Luu’s Queer Eye episode has fans all in their feels and more are dying to get their hands on her green sauce recipe. The cooking extraordinaire honored her late mother during her season 8 episode and had her life totally transformed by the Fab Five.

Speaking during Anh’s Queer Eye episode, Bobby Berk says she’s”working too much,” before adding he wants to create a “safe space” for her to thrive. Jonathan Van Ness was ready to make her “feel secure in her essence,” and it’s safe to say the season 8 episodes have fans feeling super emotional.

Meet Queer Eye’s Anh Luu

Heading over to the Bywater Brew Pub in New Orleans for Queer Eye season 8‘s final episode, the Fab Five get to meet executive chef Anh Luu.

She is nominated by her boyfriend of three years, Sam, who wants her to “start expressing herself again.”

Anh spends her days whipping up Vietnamese Southern dishes but her partner wants to see more “emotional and creative” expression from her.

Anh describes Sam as her “number one super fan,” while he says his girlfriend is “one of the most fun people he’s been around.”

Anh lost her mom

When the Fab Five introduce viewers to Anh, it’s revealed she “can’t remember the last time she had a haircut,” and she spent the past five years “depressed.”

Her mother tragically passed away in a car accident. She said: “Me and my mother’s relationship before she died was that I chose work a lot and we didn’t get to spend as much time together. I wish it could’ve gone on more.”

Following her mom’s death, she threw herself into work even more, adding: “I had never really experienced the stress levels that started happening.”

She ended up closing her restaurant and moved back to New Orleans to “find herself” after losing “fun Anh.”

Thankfully, Tan France, Antoni Porowski, Karamo Brown, and co were all on-hand to help Anh reclaim herself.

Anh channels Jonathan Van Ness

Following her Queer Eye season 8 episode, Anh’s social media posts show she’s still running her New Orleans eatery, Xanh Viet Street Food.

The “bubbly” Netflix star has fans dying for her “green sauce” recipe in her Instagram comments.

Replying to one fan who asked: “I am looking for the basil emulsion recipe. Could you please send it to me?” Anh said: “Hey, thanks for reaching. I’ve had a lot of inquiries for this sauce recipe. I am working on a smaller batch size recipe that I will make a post about! Thanks for watching my episode.”

She’s also been hanging out with fellow Queer Eye stars including season 7’s Stephanie Williams.

Reflecting on her time on the Netflix show, Anh thanked the “real heroes” of the show: “These fine people were the producers, talent coordinator, and Antoni’s culinary assistant. They made magic happen for me.”

Anh is also channeling Jonathan following her life-changing haircut on the show as she playfully writes: “Sexy s***ty pomelos going in the rice paper salad” on her IG page.
