Personal Statement

I aspire to attend college and play golf so that I can push myself beyond what I even think is possible.  I want to gain an education that will allow me to keep learning and prepare me to be a confident leader. I have played many competitive team sports and understand the value of being a reliable teammate. However, the individuality of golf has challenged me to also rely on myself to push past doubt to achieve success.

When I work towards something and am faced with adversity, in academics and athletics, I never give up, but instead figure out the problem and learn from my mistakes to become stronger. I am not afraid to admit failure, but will not back down from fighting to grow from it. I believe that challenging situations motivate me to explore and create a deeper commitment to pushing my limits. I am curious and look forward to my future, especially the opportunities college golf would create for me to prove I am a solid competitor, strong teammate, and committed student.
