Sam Pagano's Baseball Recruiting Profile

Personal Statement

I believe that I am a good candidate for your team because I am a very hard worker, not only in sports but also in school. Keeping good school grades is my number one priority. I believe that I am different from other recruits. My baseball team, the Louisville Slugger Warriors, are very different from most baseball teams around the country. We focus on not only getting better at baseball, but becoming better men. Three years ago, my baseball team and I went on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic and that experience changed my life. We not only had a chance to play baseball against them, but we also helped feed the hungry, play with the kids, and we even helped build a hospital for them too. Also, during every practice during the season, we take 30 minutes to go into an office room to talk about how we can become better men and baseball players as well. Every week, each player sets two goals for themselves; one goal about how you can get better at baseball and one for something that you can do to help out your parents. I believe I am not only a great athlete, but also a man with great character and will do whatever it takes to succeed.
