She was born May 6, 1930 (91) to the late James and Marjorie Elliott-Olds in Norfolk, VA. As a conscientious student, Mrs. Lamb graduated from Booker T. Washington High School of Norfolk, VA a year earlier than expected. Mrs. Lamb spent numerous years as a cashier and mother figure to many at Overton’s Super Market in the Berkley area of Norfolk. Later, she was a loving daycare teacher at St. Thomas Baptist Church. Mrs. Lamb gave her life to Christ and was baptized at an early age at Mt. Zion Baptist Church and later joined Rising Sun Baptist Church, both in Norfolk, VA. Her affiliations included the Missionary Society, Trustee Board, Choir, and Usher Board Member. Until she relocated to South Carolina three years ago, she was always active in her church. Nana, as she was affectionately referred to by family and friends, enjoyed talking, listening, entertaining, traveling, sewing, spending time with family, and watching television. Over the years, she took hundreds of pictures which she lovingly would show off to anyone interested. Nana opened her heart and doors to everyone who entered.
