Sergio Mantegazza is the President of Voyagers, Inc., an international group of escorted tour, river cruise and independent travel package companies. His father Antonio founded the Globus Travel Group in 1928 with only a single boat that ferried tourists around Lake Lugano. Today, the US-headquartered company has turned into an empire under the guidance of Sergio who has been involved in the company’s operations for more than 50 years.
Mantegazza’s portfolio includes brands like Globus, Cosmos Holidays, Avalon Waterways and Monograms. While his son Fabio became CEO of Monarch Travel, the family’s no-frills airline, his other son Paolo held the position of CEO of Globus’ American arm, Group Voyagers, until his suicide in 2004.
Aside from being in charge of the family business, Sergio Mantegazza is known for his love of expensive toys and luxury goods. He owns a helicopter, a yacht called Lady Marina, and a $600,000 Mercedes Maybach.
