Shakeithya Sharian Cooper, affectionately known as “Cici,” was born July 5, 1991 to Walter and Cynthia Brooks. On Monday, March 28, 2022, at the age of 30, she gained her wings.
To know “Cici” is to love her. She loved hard and voiced her opinion even harder.
“Cici” graduated from Matthew Fontaine Maury High School in 2008 at the age of 16; smart and always willing to take a chance. During her junior year of high school, she was accepted to the medical program at the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk,VA. It was there that she studied the trade and received a certificate as a Medical Assistant. During her studies, she began to become more involved with people. She started her first internship at Hampton Roads Dental Center in Chesapeake, after completion she was hired as a dental assistant. Becoming more skillful and working several jobs, “Cici” found her career at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield in Virginia Beach,Virginia as an Insurance Claim Processor.
“Cici” loved traveling in her words; “My brother said it’s more to life than Virginia, so I’m booking sites and taking flights” with her riders. Cynthia Parker and Jerrica Jones.
“Cici” was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. During football season her “Sunday Funday” consisted of cooking big dinners, inviting friends and family over to play cards (spades, uno) to eat, laugh, enjoy taking pictures, and making funny videos.
During 2020 while working remotely from home, she was always asked by friends to cook. As they offered to pay for meals and with the encouragement of her brother, “Cici’s Soulful Eats, LLC” was established, with her famous strawberry cake with each purchase. She served many throughout the 7 cities, and on the healthier side was Meal4 you.
A wonderful, loving mother, who celebrated her kids everyday, “Cici” leaves to cherish in her glorious memories: three daughters, Amiyah Sharian Cooper, Amorah Marley Williams-Cooper, and AdoraBella Liz Cooper, all of Norfolk, VA; her mother, Cynthia Brooks; her father , Walter Brooks, Jr. of Chesapeake, VA; great grandmother, Brenda Barnes (Thomas) of Wilson,, NC; two brothers, Antjuan Church (Donshae) of Virginia Beach,VA and Keith Cooper of Roanoke, VA; her only nephew, Antjuan Church, Jr. of Charlotte, NC; two nieces, Giselle Taylor of Chesapeake, VA and Aziyah Church of Virginia Beach,VA; aunt, Andreana Allen of Raleigh, NC; uncle, Tony Barnes (Denise) of Wilson, NC; her sisters – her riders, Cynthia Park, Jerrica Jones, both of Rocky Mount, NC, and Tiara Lundy of Norfolk, VA; her favorite cousin, Rakim Cox of Wilson, NC; her Ace, Linwood Willams, Marcus “Koofy” Cooper, Dion Langley, Jordan Crawford, Milton Johnson, Monteo Johnson, and Donnie Short (Brittney); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends, all of them she loved and touched deeply.
