Personal Statement

Getting to the Iowa State Tournament three years in a row has been a highlight during my high school career. However, losing in the championship game one year and the first round the last two years, is when I feel I have made the most growth. This experience made me want to improve my skills so I could help my team advance to the championship game while bettering myself to compete at the college level.

I have been extremely fortunate to be a part of an amazing program with outstanding coaches and teammates. Through my high school career I have learned the value of the "team" and the commitment and sacrifice it takes to compete at the top level. Academics are also very important to me and I'm searching for a school that will benefit me in the classroom as well as on the basketball court. My faith drives me on and off the court to be the best I can in whatever I do. I believe I have the talent to compete at the next level, and also the character and work ethic to make an impact at the college level.
