Mowry went on to attend Savannah State University, the University of Wyoming, and eventually graduated from Pepperdine University, the alma mater of his sisters.

Tahj Mowry began his acting career in 1990 with a guest role on the ABC sitcom “Who’s the Boss?” He then appeared in the recurring role of Teddy on “Full House” from 1991 to 1995. Mowry also made appearances on other shows such as “Out All Night,” “Star Trek: Voyager,” and “Friends.” He lent his voice to several animated series including “Sonic the Hedgehog” and “Aladdin.”

In 1997, Mowry landed his biggest role yet as T.J. Henderson on the WB sitcom “Smart Guy.” He also appeared in the Disney Channel Original Movies “Hounded” and “The Poof Point” in the early 2000s.

Later Career

From 2012 to 2017, Mowry played Tucker Dobbs on the ABC Family sitcom “Baby Daddy.” He also had a recurring role on the CBS sitcom “How We Roll” and a main role on the Disney+ musical comedy series “The Muppets Mayhem.”

Although primarily known for his television work, Tahj Mowry has acted in some films as well. In 2007, he had a supporting role in the family comedy “Are We Done Yet?,” a remake of “Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House” starring Ice Cube.

Mowry next starred as the titular character, an aspiring writer-director with agoraphobia, in the 2021 dramedy “Welcome Matt.” The year after that, he had a smaller role in the Netflix buddy comedy “Me Time,” starring Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg.
