There are 30 rooms, including the Superior King suite and the Spreckels suite. All rooms have a similar design and feel that includes chrome lamps and accents, a colour palette of greys and whites, bathrooms lined with Carrara marble, and San Francisco-inspired modern wall art.

The Spreckels Suite is found on the sixth floor, and is the most spacious accommodation available. The living area features a wood burning fireplace, half bath, sink, television, and comfy sofa and chair. In the bedroom, the king-sized pillow-top bed is particularly comfortable after long days spent exploring the city, and bedside lamps feature electric plugs and USB ports. A refrigerator is hidden in a dresser below a second television. The spa-like bathroom boasts a two-person shower with multiple body sprays, dual sinks, and Lather toiletries. The Superior Queen is considered the hotel’s standard room equivalent. Though smaller in size, amenities are identical.

Though rarely needed in San Francisco, The Inn at Union Square does not have air conditioning. All rooms have ceiling fans, and windows open for fresh air and ventilation.
